Automotive Tech Center (ATC)
THE WARRENSVILLE CAMPUS
Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes Corp. Technical Center is located in Warrensville Heights, a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. The Campus encompasses approximately 100 acres, with over 300,000 square feet of office and lab space. Approximately 55 acres of the site are undeveloped and maintained in their natural environmental state. It is conveniently located near several major interstates about 20 miles Southeast of downtown Cleveland, Ohio.
The establishment of the Warrensville Campus in 2000 marked a major initiative to enhance the Company's research and development process, enabling Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes Corp. to create the most technically advanced products in the industry. To facilitate this mission, all technical, research/development and training resources have been brought together in the Warrensville Campus, along with sales, marketing and support functions. This unifying of resources allows our Engineers, Chemists and Technicians to function at their absolute best and was instrumental in leading the Technical Division to the Corporate Technical Achievement Award in 2002 for their 900 series of Vehicle Refinish Clearcoats.
The new Technical and Learning facility includes an Applications Center to replicate virtually any refinish environment; and the learning center offers all product, color and management courses available in the Sherwin-Williams training curriculum. It includes classroom and shop areas containing a variety of state-of-the-art product application spray booths, along with a variety of innovative equipment to provide "hands on" training and experience.
