Senior Technical Manager

To qualify for the Senior Technical Manager position, you need a PhD or BS/MS degree and equivalent competence to direct a small laboratory or groups of professionals with broad market or technology functions. Specifically, you may supervise up to twenty professionals and technicians in two or more groups, a major business unit, or project teams.

You report to a Technical Director or business unit manager. You propose and control budgets for your assigned groups, projects, or programs. You work under very limited supervision. Consequently, you have direct, shared impact on market and product/process results, and major impact on sales.



In this position, you are accountable for:
  • directing groups with broad market or technology functions
  • directing major program(s), exceptionally difficult and complex project(s), or several unrelated projects
