Sherwin-Williams Industrial & Marine Coatings Introduces FluoroKem Fluoropolymer Urethane Finish
Fewer recoats, easier maintenance and lower life cycle costs
CLEVELAND, Ohio (September 11, 2007) – Sherwin-Williams Industrial and Marine Coatings group announced the newest addition to their product line, FluoroKem fluoropolymer urethane. This premium, ultra-durable urethane coating performs under the most extreme exterior exposures, offering superior, long lasting color and gloss retention.
Ideal for use in high profile areas such as convention centers, water tanks, casinos and other highly visible areas, FluoroKem's performance characteristics outlast those of most other coatings. FluoroKem provides a fast-drying, ambient-cured finish, is graffiti, chemical and abrasion-resistant, and meets AWWA performance standards (AWWA D102 OCS No. 4).

FluoroKem can be applied by brush, roll or spray, and is versatile enough to be applied to any primed steel, galvanized steel, or aluminum. This new coating is also ideal for applications requiring low VOC coatings (VOCs of less than 340 g/l).
