Ask the Expert

Correcting rust bloom, cold-weather applicatons, and the relevance of abrasive size and shape.

It is with profound thanks and sincre best wishes that I say farwell to you as Paint Store Group President. The leadership of our company has appointed me as President and COO, a position I am honored and humbled to accept.

During my seven-year tenure heading up the Stores Group, I was always mindful of the enormus opportunity and responsibility that came with the job. Charting the course for our largest division, and growing our industry presence among industrial coating professionals has been exhilarating and fulfilling.

I have often been asked to explain our company's longevity, sucess and continued growth in the paint business. My response is relatively simple: Throughout its 140-year history, Sherwin-Williams has embraced change. We have consistently been the agent of change through innovation, technological advancments and a desire to provide customers with the products and services they need to be successful.

In that spirit of positive change, I am please to pass the brush to Steve Oberfeld as the new Paint Stores President. Steve brings extensive industry experience to his new role, having successfully served in several sales and marketing assignments over his 22 years in our Paint Stores organization. For the past 14 years, Steve has held the position of President and General manager for our Southwestern Division where he earned the well-deserved reputation of delivering innovative product and service solutions to the industral painting professional.

Pleas accept my heartfelt thanks for allowing me to be a part of your community these past seven years. You have taught me much and taught me well. And, it was a pleasure holding the brush.
